How to Give
The simplest and most common way to make a planned gift is through your will. As you plan or revise your will, include the following sentence: "I give the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Archdiocese of Detroit the sum of dollars for its general purposes." You may also choose to leave a percentage of the remainder of your estate.
You may assign the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit in the Archdiocese of Detroit as a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement assets, insurance policy, or other financial accounts.

You can set up a living trust that operates much the same way as a will does. You can include the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Archdiocese of Detroit as a beneficiary of your living trust.
You can designate funds from your IRA directly to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Archdiocese of Detroit, as part of your required minimum distribution and do so tax-free. You can also include us as a beneficiary of your IRA.
Ozanam Legacy Society
When you include the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit in your estate plans, you may become a member of the Ozanam Legacy Society. This is a group of donors who have likewise committed some portion of their estate to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit. They are recognized in special ways and invited to events designed especially for Legacy Society members. Simply complete a non-binding Letter of Intent and you will be included.
