Why Make a Material Donation?
Directly support your neighbors
While most donations are put out for sale in our stores, we also provide items directly to our neighbors in need, free of charge.

We make it easy
With over 120 donation bins located across Metro Detroit, and five stores that double as donation centers, we make it quick and convenient for you to drop off your donations. We also offer donation pickup services for a small cost.
How to Donate
Schedule a Pickup at Your Home
Schedule a pickup of your donations online, or call 313-393-3025. To help us control our costs and provide the most for those in need, we require a minimum of 20 bags/boxes of clothing, miscellaneous, or small household items, if no furniture is being donated.
Drop off at a Store/Donation Center
We operate five stores that double as donation centers across Metro-Detroit. Just pull up your car and our team will assist you in unloading.
For ultimate convenience, we’ve placed 20 bin locations across Metro-Detroit. Simply find a drop box near you and place your items inside. Our team picks up donated items on a regular basis.
Please note that we do not accept the following items:
Large Appliances Refrigerators, Washer/Dryers, Stoves, etc.
Anything Wet or Soiled
Newspapers or Magazines
Ripped, Broken, or Soiled Furniture
Mattresses, Box Springs, or Hide-A-Beds
Bathroom or Kitchen Fixtures
Building/Construction Material Paint, Wall to Wall Carpet/Padding, Lumber, etc.
Household Chemicals and Cleaners
Automobile Parts Engine Parts, Oil, Tires, etc.
Baby Furniture Car Seats, Cribs, High Chairs, etc.

Did you know you can donate your vehicle to support St. Vincent de Paul? If you donate your car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, RV, or boat, you may qualify for a tax deduction.
