Michigan Energy Assistance Program provides energy assistance and self-sufficiency services to low-income households in Michigan.

Apply for State Emergency Relief (SER) with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

Receive an approved SER notice.

Apply for SER

Please allow 10 business days for processing. Award notifications will be sent to the email address on file (if provided). Please check your email and spam folder frequently. If no email address was provided, then notifications will be sent by USPS mail to the mailing address on file.
