Fighting Hunger with Dignity and Respect We provide food assistance to our neighbors in need by serving hot, well-balanced meals at the Matchan Nutrition Center and access to free, healthy nutrition at our three food depots in Metro Detroit.
Matchan Nutrition Center
Open for lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 am –1:00 pm, the Matchan Nutrition Center in Pontiac provides hot, well-balanced meals to our neighbors in need. Through this center, we also partner with a number of organizations to provide:
- Training and employment support (Michigan Works’ Job Link Program)
- Legal assistance (Christian Legal Aid Society)
- Clothing, winter coats, blankets, socks, and much more, as well as vouchers for use in SVdP thrift stores.
- Bible classes and other spiritual support (SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary)
Community Market
Our newest food pantry is opening Winter 2026! Located inside our main office, the community market will have flexible hours to serve our neighbors in need.

South Oakland Food Depot
Our food depot is located inside the St. Vincent de Paul Detroit’s Madison Heights store.

28720 Stephenson Hwy.
Madison Heights, MI 48071
Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Blue Water Community Food Depot

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM – 1:45 PM
A completed voucher available from Blue Water Community Action, Department of Human Services, and most area churches is required along with a photo ID with a current address. For more information call 810-987-7886.
