SUCCESS STORY Leonard Wojtyna, Ozanam Camper ’67 and ‘68
“In 1967 and 1968, I spent time at camp. Many good times! I will never forget the stories of Thump Drag, scary at first but not bad the second time. The story was about a camper who was sneaking into one of the cabins that had jars with different animals. One day this camper tried to get a jar from the top and it fell on his head, cutting him and disfiguring him. I still don’t know how he damaged his leg. I was told that he hid in the woods under the bridge and at night he would go into the cabins looking for campers. At night, some of the counselors would make a thumping noise then a dragging noise. I will never forget this story. Also, they had backup peanut butter if you did not like the food for the day. Thanks for the fun years of camping.”
