SUCCESS STORY Elizabeth Lanzon Camp & Camp Staff '62, '68, '69, '70
While going through some papers I came across this letter that I wrote to my grandma when I was 10 years old in 1962 and was a camper at Camp Stapleton. My sister, Mae was there too and our brother, Paul was probably at Ozanam. In high school I worked for 3 summers at Stapleton – 1968 as a K.K (kitchen kid), 1969 as a Rover Counselor, and 1970, my senior year at Bishop Gallagher, having my own cabin to be counselor of. I was Miss Beth with Miss Patty. I am now 70 years young and have begun volunteering for the St. Vincent de Paul conference at my parish of Our Lady Queen of Families. My life has come full circle! Thought you’d find this interesting with the 100 year anniversary. SVDP has certainly been and still is a positive influence on my life!
